  Frederick George Matthey, 88 , Salem, W.Va. died Sept. 6, 2005 at United
  Hospital Center, Clarksburg, W.Va..  He was born in Bristol, W.Va. on Dec. 27,
  1916 of the late Jules Matthey and Delia (Cunningham) Matthey.  He is survived
  by a son, J. Roy Matthey; and two granddaughters, Lee Matthey of Hooversville
  and Rebecca Matthey Cain. Matthey was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church,
  and a member of the
  
  Knights of Pythias.  He worked for many years as a carpenter for Smith Lumber
  Co., and was an avid bass fisherman and deer hunter.  The funeral will be Sept.
  9, 2005 at 11 at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home in Clarksburg, W.Va.  Interment
  will be in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Salem, W.Va.  He will be missed as
  a wonderful father and grandfather.
