  GLENN H. MATTHIAS
  
    Glenn H. Matthias, 83, of Meyersdale died May 8, 2001 at Conemaugh
  Memorial Medical Center.  Born June 29, 1917 in Meyersdale.  A son of
  the late Herbert H. and Grace E. (Landis) Matthias.  He is survived by
  his widow Ruth (Johnson), a daughter Brenda Weidel of Fort Worth,
  Texas, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Brother of
  James of Cleveland, Ohio, Carl, Connellsville, and Betty Lohr of
  Ambridge.  He was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church,
  Meyersdale Senior Citizens, and a veteran of World War II.  Retired
  checker for the Bethlehem Steel Co., Baltimore, Md.  Friends will be
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Leckemby Funeral
  Home, Meyersdale, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with
  Pastor Randy Haulk.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
