  HELEN L. MATTIE
  
    Helen L. Mattie, 81, of Gray, died Jan. 3, 1996, at Siemon Lakeview
  Manor Estate.  Born May 19, 1914, in West Virginia, daughter of the
  late Mr. and Mrs. John Ambro.  Preceded in death by her husband, John
  J. Mattie, Sr., and two sisters.  Survived by a son, John J. Jr. of
  Gray, and daughter, Elizabeth Zimmerman of Wilmington, Del.; four
  grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and these brothers and
  sisters: John Ambro, Kansas City, Mo.; Carl Ambro, Ravenswood, W.Va.;
  Verna Boone and Marcella Rechichar, both of West Virginia.  Member of
  St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta.  Friends will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where wake service will be conducted at 3 p.m.  Mass of
  Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Roman Catholic
  Church, Acosta, Rev. Father Blase Wegierski officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
