  MAURER
  
  Irvin P. Maurer, 80, of Jenner Crossroads died Feb. 8, 1973, at his
  residence.  Born Oct. 15, 1892, in Hooversville, a son of the late
  Josiah and Ellen (Spangler) Maurer.  Preceded in death by three
  sisters, six brothers and a nephew.  Survived by several nieces and
  nephews.  Veteran of World War I.  Friends received after 11 a.m.
  Saturday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home (successor to Donald
  B. Hay) 409 Main St., Boswell, where funeral service will be held at
  2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Paul P. Weber.  Interment, IOOF Cemetery,
  Stoystown.
