  MAURER
  
  Mrs. Ruth G. Maurer, 87, 320 Allegheny St., Boswell, died June 23,
  1986, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born June 20, 1899, she was a
  daughter of James and Elizabeth Ann (Creighton) Gaffney.  Preceded in
  death by parents, husband, B.J. Sr., who died May 22, 1978, son,
  Jack, brother, Paul, and sisters, Agnes and Frances.  Survived by two
  children, B.J. Jr., married to the former Betty Ann Varney, Boswell,
  and Mary Ruth, wife of Dwight W. Woy, Jennerstown, 11 grandchildren,
  and 19 great-grandchildren.  She was a member of St. Joseph's
  Catholic Church, Boswell.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where
  wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.  Mass of Christian
  Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church.  Father Samuel
  Tomaselli officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads.
