Maust, 83, of Grantsville RD 1, Md., formerly of Meyersdale died Nov. 10, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Nov. 20, 1904, at Elk-Lick Township. He was a son of the late Lewis J. and Amelia (Orendorf) Maust. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Maple Glen Mennonite Church. Survivors include widow, the former Edna Miller; four sons: Willard Maust and wife Ella, Meyersdale; Evan Maust and wife Ada, Salisbury; Ivan Maust and wife Hilda, Meyersdale; Francis Maust and wife Lenora, Lebanon; one daughter: Emily Maust, Grantsville and a foster daughter, Amy Yoder, widow of Olen Yoder, Accident, Md. Two brothers, Elmer L. Maust, Grantsville; Omar L. Maust, Salisbury; two sisters: Mrs. Floyd (Anna) Bender, Salisbury; and Mrs. Alvin H. (Martha) Yoder, Grantsville; 33 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friday 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Sunday for viewing. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Maple Glen Mennonite Church with the Rev. Philip Moser officiating. Interment at the church cemetery. Family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
