Maust, 83, of South Center Ave., Somerset, died Friday at his residence. He was born June 28, 1891 in Springs, a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Miller) Maust. Preceded in death by his wife the former Helen Daisey Emerick. Survived by these children: Mrs. Ross (Leona) Hendershot, Berlin: Mrs. William (Viola) Farabaugh, and Mrs. James (Geraldine) Thomas, both of Johnstown; Woodrow B. of Hampton Road, Va.; Mrs. Meredith (Madeline) Flook, McLean, Va.; Mrs. George (Blanch) Holtz, Norwalk, Ohio; Reon A. of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Harry B., Floyd R. and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Faust, all of Somerset; Mrs. Lois Mason, Philadelphia; 37 grandchildren. He was the brother of Samuel of Berlin and Mrs. Charles (Carrie) Landis of Jenners. Member of Somerset Church of God. Retired farmer and carpenter. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Somerset Church of God with Rev. Flavis Burroughs. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Remains will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. Monday until service time. Somerset American, November 9, 1974 [M0450]
