CRIST S. MAUST

  Crist S. Maust, a retired farmer, aged 87 years, died at his home in St. Paul, 
Meyersdale R.D. 1, on Monday, August 9, at 8:45 p.m., following a lingering 
illness.
  Born in Somerset County, May 9, 1861, he was a son of Samuel and Christina 
(Ringler) Maust.
  He was preceded in death by his wife and five sons.  Surviving are four 
daughters: Miss Eva Maust, at home; Mrs. Robert Faidley, Mrs. Norman Holzhour 
and Mrs. Marling Gnagey, all of Meyersdale R.D. 1; and one son, Clarence Maust, 
Somerset; a brother, Wilson Maust, Johnstown; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.
  Friends were received at the Maust home until this (Thursday) afternoon when 
funeral services were held there at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. George K. Ely 
officiating.  Interment was made in the St. Paul Cemetery, under the direction 
of W. C. Price & Son.
