Born April 24, 1932, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Harvey N. and Verna (Miller) Maust. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Arvin and a sister, Emma. He is survived by his wife, Ida (Maust) Maust whom he married June 5, 1955; five sons: David Emerson Maust, Grantsville, Md.; Kenneth Elson Maust, Nashville, Tenn.; Gerald Edward Maust and wife, Valerie, Natrona Heights; Conrad Ethan Maust; and Sheldon Eugene Maust and wife, Diane, all of Accident; four daughters: Kristine Joy Graber and husband Corby, Accident; Charlotte Elaine Tice and husband, Philip; Twila Jane Yoder and husband Darrell, all of Grantsville; Gloria Marie Ruggerio and husband Joseph, Wimauma, Fla.; four sisters: Iva Zook, Willis, Va.; Annie Beitzel, Springs; Arline Westmeier, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; Edna Bender, Accident; and 27 grandchildren. Mr. Maust was the retired pastor of Cherry Glade Mennonite Church after 40 years of service in ministry. He taught for 34 years in the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District. He and his wife operated Country Acres Strawberry Farms. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, Grantsville. Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22. A service was conducted at Saturday, March 23, at Cherry Glade Mennonite Church with the Rev. Willard Mayer officiating. Friends called at the church one hour prior to the service.
