Born June 5, 1904 in Rawlings, Md., she was a daughter of the late Christian A. and Mary Ann (Keim) Beachy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Maust; a grandson, Andrew Hillary Durst; a brother, Clyde Beachy; and a sister, Hester Margroff. Mrs. Maust was a member of the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren, Fort Hill, and was a retired school teacher for the Garrett County Board of Education. She established the weaving program at Penn Alps and was the weaving teacher. Mrs. Maust was the last surviving member of the Grantsville High School Class of 1923. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Durst, Grantsville; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Aug. 15. Services were conducted Aug. 16 at the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
