Maust, prominent citizen of Elk Lick Township, passed away suddenly at his home near St. Paul, at 12:45 a.m., today (Thursday). He was aged 67 years, 1 month and 4 days. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in St. Paul's Reformed Church, by his pastor, Rev. Roy Otto, pastor of the Springs Mennonite Church of which Mr. Maust was a member. Interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery, directed by W. C. Price and Son, Meyersdale morticians. Mr. Maust was born in Elk Lick Township, Feb. 11, 1877, the son of David and Alice (Lindeman) Maust. He was a farmer and public spirited citizen and served as township supervisor for several terms. He is survived by his wife, Salome (Engle) Maust, three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Stuck, Johnstown; Lt. Ruth Maust, Army nurse, serving somewhere in the South Pacific war zone, and Mrs. Lawrence Grew, Meyersdale R.D. 1; one son, T/5 Markle E. Maust, in the armed forces overseas; two grandchildren; one brother, Harry Maust, Camden, N.J., and two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Shoemaker and Mrs. Ray Shoemaker, Springs.
