Maust, 82, of 31 Penn Court Drive, Mount Joy, died May 29, 2002 following a brief illness at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Berlin, he was the son of the late Samuel and Oprha (Knepper) Maust. His wife, Dorothy (Cochran) Maust, died in 1994. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Judd and two sisters, Ruth Maust and Leona Weigle. Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn L. Maust of Marietta, and Martha L. Maust, married to Alan Rubright and Fay L. Smith, both of Lancaster; two grandchildren, and three sisters, Mary Brant, Ethel Brant, and Lorene Ling, all of Somerset County. He retired from J.U. Baker Co., Landisville, where he was a truck driver. Before that, he was a truck driver for El Capitan Coffee. A member of Teamsters Union Local 771, he enjoyed bowling, golf and woodcarving. Maust served in the U.S. Army with Battery C 772nd Field Artillery Battalion in World War II. He was buried at Salem Hellers Cemetery. Daily American, June 6, 2002 [M0494]
