"Pete" Maust, 65, Berlin RD 1, died April 13, 1986, in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. Born Sept. 12, 1920, in Brothersvalley Township, son of late Robert L. and Sadie (Rhoads) Maust. Survived by wife, former Ferne Glessner; daughter, Mrs. Edward (Gwendlyn) Ottaviano, Pittsburgh; son, Victor R., Somerset; grandson, Victor R. II, Natrona Heights; step-granddaughter, Angela Czerwinski, Somerset. Brother of Kermit Rhoads, Stoystown; and Mrs. Dorothy Brougher, Somerset; also several nieces and nephews. Retired farmer. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where he was a former deacon; Robert Walker Post 7295, V.F.W.; and former member of Berlin Lodge 461, I.O.O.F. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev Carl W. Schwarm. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the R.A.M.P. Fund, Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, would be appreciated.
