Born Nov. 13, 1906, in Listonburg, daughter of Robert A. Sr. and Edith (Maurer) Stoughton. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Lewis Griffith Maust Sr., who died June 17, 1961; brothers: James Black Stoughton and Robert A. Stoughton Jr. Survived by these children: Joan M., wife of Earl D. Gipson, Lewis Griffith Jr., married to the former M. Regina Kilchenstein and James Robert, married to the former Kay Adams, all of Stoughton Lake; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also sisters-in-law; Lucille, widow of Robert, and Teresa M., widow of James, both of Stoughton Lake; also two nieces. Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ and life-time member of DAR. Co-founder along with brothers of the Mountain Playhouse and Green Gables Restaurant. Attend Hood College, Frederick Md. and taught elementary school in Jenner Township in the 1920's. Friends received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.
