Maust, 87, of 750 St. Paul Road, Meyersdale, died Feb. 27, 1998, at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home. Born Sept. 30, 1910, in Summit Township, he was a son of the late Howard and Salome (Engle) Maust. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Ruth (Hay) Maust, 3 sisters, Frances Stuck, Berlin; Ruth Foor, Everett; Julia Hay, Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. Maust was a veteran of World War II. Member of Salisbury Lions Club, V.F.W. and Saint Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ, where he served as Sunday School superintendent, elder and deacon. He furnished transportation for the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District for many years and operated a service station in the village of Saint Paul. He also attended McSweeney's Trade School, Detroit, Mich. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, Sunday. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Saint Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock officiating. Interment, Saint Paul Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Salisbury area veteran's service organizations. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Saint Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
