Maust, 76, Emmaus RD1, Pa., formerly of Somerset, died Sept. 23, 1984 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown, Pa. Born Jan. 19, 1908, in Somerset Township, daughter of late Luther and Minnie (Shank) Bowman. Preceded in death by husband, Guy, in 1978; daughter, Donna Jean and sister, Mary Ellen Bowman. Survived by two children, Dr. Jay R. Maust, Hawaii; and Mrs. John P. (Nancy) Civitts, Emmaus, Pa.; and five grandsons. Sister of: Clyde Bowman, Somerset; Mrs. Ruth Egolf, Somerset RD 1; Fred Bowman, Georgia; step-brother, Daniel Walker, Somerset; stepsister, Mrs. Edwin (Irene) Saxman, Brotherton; and half-sister, Mrs. Joseph (Millie) Struby, Alabama. Life-long member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, where she served as deaconess. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
