  MAUST
  
  Samuel E. Maust, 96, Berlin, died Oct. 21, 1983, at Maple Mountain
  Manor.  Born Nov. 6, 1886, in Elk Lick Township, son of Jacob and
  Mary (Miller) Maust.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, former
  Orpha Mae Knepper; two daughters; one sister; and four brothers. 
  Survived by these children: Judd, Citrus Heights, Calif.; Kenneth,
  Mount Joy; Mrs. Theodore (Mary) Brant, Somerset; Mrs. E. Hayes
  (Lorene) Ling, Somerset; Mrs. James (Ethel) Brant, Garrett; 25
  grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren;
  and sister, Mrs. Carrie Landis, Jenners.  Member of St. Paul's Ridge
  Church.  Retired coal miner.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday and from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral
  Home, Berlin, where service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, the
  Rev. Harvey Stauffer officiating.  Interment, Ridge Church Cemetery.
