SUSAN FIRL MAUST

  Mrs. Susan Firl Maust, 59, wife of H. A. Maust, died Friday, Feb. 26, at 3:20 
a.m. at the family home at Summit Mills, following an extended illness due to a 
heart condition.  She was the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Fullem) Firl and was 
born in Somerset, Jan. 30, 1884.  She is survived by her husband and nine 
children: Sylvester E., Sugar Creek, Ohio; Nevin C., Berlin; Samuel W., in the 
Army, stationed in California; Lawrence A., in the Army, stationed at Camp Hood, 
Texas; Mrs. Russell Crossen, Polk, Ohio; Mrs. Carl Grew, Summit Mills; Mrs. 
Oscar Haines, Osceola, Pa.; Mrs. Howard Brant, Gray, and Miss Ruth Maust, at 
home; also a brother, Uriah Firl, Summit Mills, and 24 grandchildren.
  Funeral services were conducted in the Summit Mills Church of the Brethren by 
the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Ashman, at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, followed by burial 
in the Lichty Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price and Son.
