MAUST William Francis Maust, 74, Hoover Road, Somerset, died Jan. 19, 1997, in Somerset. Born June 5, 1922, in Lincoln Township. Son of John Calvin and Anna (Stahl) Maust. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Goldie (Schmucker) Maust, brother, Ernest Lloyd Maust. Survived by wife, the former Freda Mae Wolford, to whom married for 47 years, and these children: Dwane C. Maust, married to the former Violet Barron, Hoover Road, Somerset, and Mrs. Charles (Bonnie) Ringler, Edie. Grandchildren: Mrs. Steve (Kellie Sue) Haer, Meyersdale RD 3; Edgar A. Wilson, Dale City, Va.; Charles W. Wilson, Somerset RD 7; Tonya and Shane Ringler, Somerset RD 3. Great-grandchildren: Steven Haer Jr., Chantel and Edgar A. Wilson Jr. Sister of Mrs. Miles J. (Emily) Knepper, Markelton, RD 1. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren, Somerset County Jeep Club, Mountain Field and Stream Club, Trent Rod and Gun Club and Pa. Farmers Association. Self-employed farmer and a truck driver for Somerset Township from 1972-1990. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sipesville Church of the Brethren, Sipesville, with the Rev. Danny R. Bailey officiating. Viewing at the church from 12:30 to time of the service.
