May, 103, former mayor of Salisbury, and believed to be the oldest resident of Somerset County, died March 25, 1975, at his home. A native of Bard, he was born March 1, 1872, a son of the late Samuel and Maria (Beltz) May. His wife, the former Ora B. Hay, died in 197?, at the age of 99. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Iola M. Lydick, Homer City, and Mrs. Dixie M. Otto, Springs, also two grandchildren. Mr. May was a member and elder emeritus of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury; a member and past president of Salisbury Lions Club and had been active in civic groups and organizations in the Salisbury community. Friends are being received at Thomas Funeral Home in Salisbury, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating. Interment in Salisbury Cemetery.
