May, 80, of Markleton died Aug. 10, 1995, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 20, 1915, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. A son of the late James F. and Effie (Lape) May. Also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest, and one sister Hazel. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Dorothy Kelley; two sisters, Edna McGowan of Philadelphia and Mabel Jane Hargrave of New Jersey, and one brother, James May Jr. of Confluence. Veteran of World War II. A member of the American Legion Post 946. Retired from the railroad after 40 years of service. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday (today) at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating.
