    Gilbert E. May, 81, of Mill Run RD 1, died April 8, 1980, at Mercy
  Hospital, Pittsburg.
    He was born Feb. 8, 1899, in Scottdale, son of the late Jacob C.
  and Susie (Brown) May.  He was a resident of Mill Run most of his
  life.  He was a retired farmer, member of Mill Run Grange No. 1109,
  charter member of Appalachian Wagon Train, United Methodist Church of
  Mill Run.
    He is survived by his wife, Martha (Firestone) May; two sons: J.C.
  and Laird May, both of Mill Run; two daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Marie)
  Hay of Mill Run RD 1; Mrs. William (June) Frye of Orlando, Fla.; 12
  grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  Sister: Mrs. Ralph (Marie)
  Hyatt, Connellsville.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe
  May; one sister, Cosey Prinkey.
    Friends wre received at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Route 711,
  Melcroft, where services were held with the Rev. Elam Bender
  officiating.  Interment, Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
