MAY John George May, son of Mr. and Mrs. John O. May, died at the home of his parents in Boynton at 11:50 p.m., Saturday, May 15, of a complication of diseases. He had been ill for two and one-half years, gradually failing until he passed away. He was last employed by the Mohawk Rubber Co., of Akron, O. He was born in Boynton on May 1, 1916, son of John O. and Margaret (Walker) May, and was aged 32 years and 15 days at his death. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters and one brother - Miss Evelyn May, Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Idabelle Harding, Salisbury, R.D. 1; Mrs. John Leslie, Jr., of Boynton, and James B. May, with the U.S. Army at Phoenixville, Pa. Funeral services were conducted at his parents home at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 18. Rev. Arthur Vespa of Central City officiated. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Salisbury, in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, May 20, 1948
