  JOSEPH G. MAY
  
    Joseph Gerald "Jerry" May, 66, of 9 Asbury Avenue, LaVale, Md., and
  more recently of the Northampton Nursing Home, Frederick, Md., died
  Tuesday, Nov, 22, 1988, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  He had
  resided at the nursing home for the past two months.
    He was born Nov. 18, 1922 in Fairhope, son of the late Russell C.
  and Marian (Baker) May.
    He retired as an equipment operator after working for the Western
  Union Telegraph Company for 30 years.  He was a Navy veteran of World
  War II and was a member of Central Assembly of God Church.
    Survivors include his widow, Betty E. (Lowery) May; one sister,
  Joann Jensen, Ijamsville; and several nieces and nephews.
    Leasure-Stein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
