Scottdale, Sept. 26.- Mrs. Margaret Jane May, 98, died at the home of her
son-in-law, John T. Stouffer, at Pennville Tuesday night.  She made her home at 
Pennville for the past four years.
The widow of Thomas. B. May she was born in Somerset County October 7, 1852, a 
daughter of the late George and Mary Mognet Reed.
She was married July 7, 1872 and had resided at Scottdale for 55 years.  She was 
a member of the Methodist Church.  Surviving are a daughter, Mary E. Lohr of 
Duquesne, a son, Harry of Scottdale; 23 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren 
and 16 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the Ferguson Funeral Home at 1:30 on Friday with 
Rev. J.C. Doudna, her pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in Scottdale 
Cemetery.
