(Scotty) May, 90, of 519 Valley Street, died March 30, 1984 in Memorial Hospital. Born in Hyndman, he was a son of the late Daniel H. May and Anna (Mull) May. He was a retired building superintendent for local construction firms. He was a former building inspector for the City of Cumberland and the Lake Gordon Dam Project and the city warehouse. He was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Club of the church, was a 57-year member of Ohr Lodge 131 AF&AM, the Scottish Rite bodies of Cumberland, Ali Ghan Shrine Temple, member of Local 1024 Carpenters and Joiners of America. He is survived by his widow, Marion T. (Taylor) May; a brother, H. Earl May, Boynton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Kight Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. John H. Williams officiating. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Robert Collins, George Eyler, Daniel Fradiska, Arthur Gordon, Harry Parker and Hubert Radcliffe. The Republic, April 5, 1984 [M0585]
