   Joseph J. Mayer (Majerczak), 83, of Cooleemee, North Carolina,
  formerly of Boswell, died Sept. 23, 1996. Born June 30, 1913, in
  Boswell, son of Joseph and Catherine (Malik) Majerczak. Preceded in
  death by parents; brothers: John, Stanley, and Frank; sisters: Anna
  Kaminski, Josephine, Mary, and Lottie Liput. Survived by several
  nieces and nephews. Former member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church,
  Boswell. Inurnment and memorial mass will be held at the convenience
  of the family. Local arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home, Boswell.
