He was born Dec. 23, 1935, in Rockwood, a son of the late Benjamin and Mabel Belle (Eagle) Mayhugh. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Faith Lynn Mayhugh; brothers, William, Chester, and Robert (Dale); sisters, Mildred, Audrey, Dolores and Annabelle (Ann). He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Hotchkiss) Mayhugh; a brother, Harry (Blaine) Mayhugh; and mother-in-law, Buelah Berkley. He was a faithful member of Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church. Ben died doing what he loved to do, walking and collecting cans. He loved his wife of almost 42 years and he was a servant to the Lord. He will be missed by family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Tuesday he will be taken to the Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church to lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service. The Rev. Matthew McCoy officiating. Interment St. Paul Cemetery.
