Mayhugh, 52, of Garrett, died July 7, 1977, in the Veteran's Hospital in Altoona. He was born Dec. 29, 1925, in Rockwood, a son of Benjamin and Mabel Bell Mayhugh. He is survived by his mother, a resident of Somerset; one son, David Mayhugh of Meyersdale; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Shaffer of Aberdeen, Md.; three brothers, Benjamin of Meyersdale, Blaine of Somerset and Dale of New Centerville; three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Bijac of Johnstown; Mrs. Doris Walters of Garrett; Mrs. Ann Poleska of Williamsport, and one grandson, Ronald Shaffer of Aberdeen, Md. He was a veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the William J. Wood Funeral Home in Rockwood where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Daily American, July 8, 1977 [M0599]
