Born Oct. 14, 1931, in Black Township, son of Benjamin Harrison Mayhugh and Mabel Belle (Eagle) Mayhugh. Preceded in death by parents; son Robert Dale Mayhugh Jr.; two brothers, Chester and Billie Mayhugh; and three sisters, Mildred Mayhugh, Audrey Gigac and Anna Poliska. Survived by wife, the former Janet Kathryn Laus, to whom he was married 40 years; two best buddies, Mitchell and Grant Pletcher, both of Rockwood; brothers and sister, Mrs. Doris Walters, Benjamin and H. Blaine Mayhugh, all of Meyersdale; and several nieces and nephews. Korean War veteran of U.S. Air Force. Retired cement finisher for CH&D Enterprises of New Stanton. Member of VFW Post 0185, American Legion Post 181, F.O. Eagles Aerie 1801, National Rifle Association, Laurel Ridge Sportsman's Association. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. James L. Montique officiating.
