Mayse, 60, Boswell RD 2, died June 25, 1985, at home. Born Aug. 8, 1924, in Jenner Township, daughter of Edgar R. and Emma K. (Kline) Spory. Preceded in death by parents, one infant brother and one infant sister. Survived by husband, James R.; two sons: Michael E., and Charles M., both of Boswell RD 2; four grandchildren: Tiffany, Ryan, Josh and Amber. Sister of: Violet, wife of Raymond S. Spence, Camp Hill; Betty Jean, wife of Victor G. Overbeck, Albright, W. Va.; Emma Lou, wife of John W. Rauch, Boswell RD 1. Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association, and Laurel Arts, Somerset. Veteran of World War II, having served in WAC. Attended University of Pittsburgh, graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Teacher for 17 years in the North Star and the Westmont-Hilltop school districts. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, and from 10 a.m. Friday until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray, the Rev. Joseph M. Beer. Interment, United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jennerstown, at convenience of family.
