She was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Greenville Township a daughter of the late Daisy and Dewey Wilhelm. Also preceded in death by Lewis F. Mazer, her husband of 36 years; brother, Bernard Wilhelm and sister, Helen Jindra. She was a loving mother to her son, Larry L. Mazer, married to Susan Mazer Winger, and she was a devoted grandmother to Jessica R. Baker, married to Benjamin Baker, and Abby L. Mazer. She loved and was loved by many, including her brother, Carl Wilhelm and family; sister-in-law, Janice Wilhelm and family and by many nieces, nephews and friends. While she lived most of her life in Rockwood, over the past year, she lived at the Lutheran Home in Johnstown. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Rockwood where she worshipped weekly. She shared many gifts with the congregation by coordinating Sunday altar flowers, helping in the kitchen, quilting and participating in the Victory class, Bible study and the prayer chain. She worked as a clerk at and retired from the Rockwood Insurance Company. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for family and friends. After retirement, she enjoyed making bread, dozens of loaves at a time, and predictably gave them to others. She was a member of Rockwood Senior Citizen and the Rockwood American Legion Auxiliary and she was a volunteer for "In-Touch" Hospice. Viewing will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood. The funeral and service of Holy Communion will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Rockwood. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts in her memory be given to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 711 Broadway, Rockwood, Pa. 15557. 09/08/2004 Daily American
