  McBRIDE
  
  Blanche Emma McBride, 91, of Somerset died March 19, 2002 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Oct. 23, 1910 in Scottdale.  Daughter of Charles
  Andrew and Anna (Wilkins) Weisel.  Preceded in death by parents,
  husband James F. McBride who died Dec. 26, 1989, brothers, Walter,
  Arthur, George, Ernest, Gilbert and Charles Andrew Weisel.  Survived
  by: children, Mrs. Lois Sarver-Smith of Orland Park, Ill.; Tim
  McBride and wife Patricia of Wellsboro; grandchildren, Mrs. Paul
  (Nancy) Hoppes, Richmond, Va.; Mrs. Shirley Carrol, Dixon, Ill.;
  James Smith and wife Barbara of Rock Falls, Ill.; Lawrence Smith of
  Orland, Ill.; Mrs. Carley Ann McBridge, Colin J. McBride and Caitrin
  McBride, all of Wellsboro, and six great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Clara Lonabaugh of Pittsburgh and Helen Leighty of Ruffs Dale. 
  Member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.  A 1928 graduate of East
  Huntingdon High School.  Graduate of Greensburg Business School. 
  Bookkeeper for various businesses, including Herring Motors, retiring
  in 1976.  Also member of Soroptomist Club where she was a past
  president.  Enjoyed bowling, loved to travel, swimming and bridge
  club.  Was a Notary Public.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where
  service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Keith M.
  Fink officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
