Born Nov. 10, 1913, in Brownsville, son of the late James and Florence (Franks) McBride. Survived by his wife, the former Blanche Weisel, and these children: Mrs. Lois E. Dixson of Orland Park, Ill., and Timothy J. McBride, Wellsboro RD 4; grandchildren: Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Hoppes of Richmond, Va.; Mrs. Timothy (Shirley) Carroll, James Smith and Larry Smith, all of Chicago, Ill.; Caley Ann McBride, Cullin J. McBride and Caitrin McBride, all of Wellsboro RD 4; five great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Teresa Williams of Brownsville. Former owner of McBride Motors, Somerset, and former salesman for Mardis Motors of Somerset for 22 years. Veteran of U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. Past president of Somerset Kiwanis Club. Member of American Legion Post 181 and life member of the Allegheny Packard Club of Pittsburgh. Friends received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Douglas A. Rayberg officiating.
