Janice (Sis) died at the age of 64 on Dec. 1, 1997, after a two-year illness. The service was conducted by Pastor Mel of Trinity Lutheran Church of Berlin, Pa. Preceded in death by her father, Owen H. Yoder of Berlin RD and sister Jacqueline McFarland of Indian Lake. Janice is survived by her husband, Andy of Coraopolis; her three children: Barbara Ann, wife of Bill Barones, Pittsburgh; Tammy Sue, wife of Max Newton of Mesa, Ariz., and Dixie Earalene, wife of John Mosura of Coraopolis, Pa.; three grandchildren: Desiree and Deandra Mosura and Cody Newton; her mother, Mildred Yoder of Berlin RD and sister Dolores (Dee) Yoder of Texas; and numerous aunts and cousins. Janice was active in Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile and held high offices in each organization. One of her most favorite accomplishments was hiking the entire Appalachian Trail with Andy from April to September of 1995, just prior to her illness.
