  McCLAREN, Paul Eugene "Gene"  03/30/08   Daily American
  
    Paul Eugene "Gene" McClaren, 91, Mechanicsburg, departed this life on March 28, 2008,
  in the Harrisburg Hospital, after a heart attack. Born Oct. 11, 1916, in Donegal, the son
  of the late Dorse and Ada Barclay McClaren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita;
  his brother, Blair "Pat" McClaren; and sister, Kathryn Dinsmore. Gene is survived by
  three nieces, Carol Mason, Audrey Lowery and Belinda Pugh; nephews, Charles and David
  Fondelier; two stepdaughters, Penny Wedding and Michelle Carpenter; and his dearest
  friend, Virginia Cookson. Gene served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a
  retired employee of the Samsonite Corporation. A memorial service to celebrate his life
  will be held at a future date at Bethany Towers in Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers,
  memorial donations may be made to any charity. Musselman Funeral Home & Cremation
