Husband of Dorothy (Quinn) McClellan of Old Saybrook. Born May 26, 1921, in Dennistown, Pa., son of William D. McClellan of Central City and the late Myrtle E. (Mason) McClellan. He lived in Old Saybrook since 1969 and was a retired custodian for Regional District IV in Deep River, Conn. Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force. Also survived by one son, Charles H. McClellan, Jr. of Old Lyme, Conn.; daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Marchese of Old Saybrook; one brother, William McClellan of Pa.; 6 sisters, Audrey Fisher of New York; Shirley Kimmel, Wilma Esherick, Anna Grace Vasos, Mildred Goden, and Betty Ringler, all of Pa.; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Hemstead, Long Island, N.Y. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills, N.J. or to the American Cancer Society, Rt. 55, Middletown, Conn. 06457.
