Born May 13, 1898, in Quemahoning Township, son of Henry and Mary (Horner) McClellan. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Myrtle E. Mason; sons, Charles Henry and Melvin Eugene; daughter, Mary Lou; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother. Survived by these children: Mrs. Andrew (Grace) Vasos, Central City RD 1; Mildred Goden, Mrs. Guy (Wilma) Esherick, W. Dewey Jr., married to the former Carolyn Byers, and Mrs. Morris (Shirley) Kimmel, all of Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Clyde (Beverly) Ringler, Stevens; Mrs. John (Audrey) Fisher, Central Islip, N.Y.; also daughter-in-law, Dorothy McClellan, Old Saybrook, Conn.; 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Retired coal miner and builder. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
