Born Dec. 15, 1897, in Johnstown, daughter of Charlie J. and Sarah (Ott) Barron. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Grant S. who died Feb. 3, 1960; sons Barron and Merle; also sister, Carrie Berkheimer; and brother, Harry. Survived by these children: Leo, married to the former Frieda Shaffer, Central City RD 1; Gertrude, wife of Charles William Miller, New Brunswick, N.J.; Sara, widow of Jay Schenkemeyer, Johnstown; Art, married to the former Helen Diamond, Sidman RD 1; Dwight, married to the former Virginia Wright, Syracuse, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. Sister of Edna Saxton, Merced, Calif. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell; L.C.W. of the church; auxiliary to Allegheny Lutheran Home; Boswell Firemen's Auxiliary; Laurel Mt. Senior Citizens; Wimodausis Rebekah Lodge No. 217, Somerset; Retiree Club of Boswell Local 424 I.L.G.W.U.; and Elderly Ladies Quilting Club of Jenner Brethren Church. Retired employee of Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell; Past Nobel Grand of Rebekah Lodge. Friends received from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and until 12:30 p.m., Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, when body will be removed to St. Andrew's Church for viewing from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. George E. Bowersox officiating. Interment, Buckstown Lutheran Cemetery.
