He was born Dec. 28, 1907 at Confluence. A son of the late Edward Kenzie McClintock and the late Bessie Greer Shipley, he was a retired employee of the Republic Steel Manufacturing Division in the plant protection department from 1943 until 1972. He had also previously worked for the Anchor Hocking Corp. in Connellsville, and he was a former South Connellsville borough policeman. He was a member of many civic and social organizations and was also a member of the Albright United Methodist Church of South Connellsville. He is survived by his wife, Florence Pierce McClintock; four half-brothers, Roy Shipley, Don (Dick) Shipley, Delford Shipley and Joseph R. Shipley, all of South Connellsville; two half-sisters: Mrs. Donald (Edythe) DeBolt of Norwald, Calif.; and Mrs. Earl (Vierma) Bloom of Connellsville; and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Joseph R. Shipley, and a half-sister, Ivaden Shipley. Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, from 4-6 and 7- 9 p.m. Friday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Marvin Watson officiating.
