McClintock, born Jan. 23, 1887, died Nov. 2, 1944, aged 57 years, 10 months and 9 days. He was twice married. His first wife, died in 1909, survived by one adopted son, Frederick M. Miller. His second wife was Dora B. McClintock, who bore him eight children: Victor J., Maurice S., Evans, Everett, Hillary, Viola, Myron and Mrs. Ray Mitchell. Three of the sons are serving in the armed forces, Evans and Maurice being overseas, and Everett in Camp Belvoir, Va. Besides the above named children and their mother, Mr. McClintock is also survived by one brother, Lester McClintock, of Fort Hill; two sisters, Mrs. George Lyon, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Ora Johnson, Milwaukee, Wis.; one half- sister, Mrs. Laura Jamason, Blaunox, Pa., and by seven grandchildren. Mr. McClintock was the eldest son of Rev. H. S. and Elizabeth (Livengood) McClintock, both of whom preceded him in death many years ago. He spent his entire life in Addison Township. During his early life he worked in coal mines and in the woods. In 1936 he was elected road foreman of the township for a term of six years. He was a faithful member of the Evangelical Church of Harnedsville and was a regular attendant until ill health prevented. He was a highly respected citizen and had a host of friends. At the funeral services conducted by Rev. Gahagan, a men's quartet sang three of the deceased's favorite hymns - Sweet Hour of Prayer, Going Down the Valley and Just Beyond the River. Following his request his favorite passage of Scripture, the 23rd Psalm, was read. The pall-bearers, all close friends of his, were Lloyd Bender, C. T. Smith, P. S. Gower, Ed McClintock, Wm. Frazee and Steven McClintock. His body was laid to rest in Addison Cemetery. Charles B. Humbert, Confluence mortician, had charge of the funeral. Meyersdale Republican, November 23, 1944
