Grant St., Salisbury, died Aug. 11, 1995, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born May 4, 1916, in Salisbury. A son of the late Harry and Charlotte (Wagner) McClure. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca (Philson) McClure; and four children: Mary Catherine Kish, Canfield, Ohio; Rebecca Anne Shale, Dayton, Ohio; Samuel Philson McClure, Meyersdale; and Jeffrey Richard McClure, Frederick, Md.; one sister, Eleanor McClure Gallatin, St. Michaels, Md.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury. Last surviving charter member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department. Member of Meyersdale Lodge No. 554 F&AM, Salisbury VFW and Salisbury American Legion. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WWII. He retired after operating McClure's Service Station for 50 years. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David E.
