He was born in Connellsville, Feb. 17, 1892, son of the late William and Lydia (Henry) McCoy. He was a member of the Lamberton Union Church and a World War I veteran. He is survived by wife, Ann Pletcher McCoy, and the following children: Melvin of Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. George (Idamae) Harto of Lamberton; and Mrs. Leroy (Marie) Mitchell of Rockwood; one brother, Robert McCoy of Rockwood; and one sister, Mary Swope of Connellsville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem, Pa., where services were conducted with his pastor, the Rev. Martha O'Brien, officiating. Interment, Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
