McCoy, 80, of Hyndman RD 1, died Feb. 12, 1982, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1901 in DuBois, and was a son of the late Oliver McCoy and Rosanna (Murphy) McCoy. He had resided in this area 55 years, coming here from DuBois, and worked as an operating engineer. He was a retired member of Local 37 Operating Engineers and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md. He is survived by his widow, Sylvia (Clark) McCoy; three sons, James W. McCoy and Robert C. McCoy, both of Hyndman RD 1; John L. McCoy, Dillsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Shroyer, Hyndman RD 1; two brothers, Albinus McCoy, Ohio; Bernard P. McCoy, DuBois, a sister, Mrs. Nora Dill, Erie; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Hopkins and the Rev. Robert Wellman. Interment was in Cooks Mills Cemetery. The Republic, February 18, 1982 [M0766]
