McCune died at the home of his stepmother, Mrs. Rebecca J. McCune, 118 Center Street, Saturday, March 24, at 9:45 a.m. after an extended illness. He was aged 62 years, 5 months, 12 days, having been born Oct. 12, 1882, in Braddock, Pa., the son of W. A. and Martha (Douglas) McCune, both deceased. He was a former postal messenger, carrying incoming and outgoing mail between the Meyersdale post office and the B & O Railroad station. He was an invalid, unable to work, since the death of his wife, some years ago. His only surviving relatives are his step-mother and half-sister, Miss Mary McCune. His body was taken to the W. C. Price Funeral Home until Monday, March 26, when it was taken to the Evangelical Church, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harry B. Greer. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery.
