  McCURDY
  
    Charlie R. "Puppa" McCurdy, 82, of Saxonburg, formerly of Berlin,
  died Sept. 11, 1998, at Butler Memorial Hospital.  Born April 13,
  1916, in Greensburg, son of Archie and Anna (Waugman) McCurdy. 
  Preceded in death by parents, brother and sisters.  Survived by his
  wife of 59 years, the former Mabel Steffey, and these children:
  Donna, married to Wayne Deaner, Saxonburg; Darlene, married to Dr.
  James Knepper, and Charlie K., married to the former Linda Krause,
  both of Berlin; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Former
  farm manager of Ponfeigh Farm, Glencoe, and Stone Hollow Farm,
  Davidsville.  Retired from McCurdy True Value Hardware, Berlin. 
  Member of Meyersdale Lodge 554, F.&A.M.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Ralph G. Landis
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Masonic service will
  be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Memorials may be given to the American
  Heart Association, or Meyersdale Lodge 554, F.&A.M.
