  Cavalle "Lub" J. McDonald Sr., 59, of Adelphi, Md., formerly of
  Boswell, died Feb. 16, 1988, at home.  Born Aug. 28, 1928, in
  Boswell, son of Lloyd and Lottie (Shaffer) McDonald.  Preceded in
  death by parents; second wife, former Vividell (Bird) Holmes;
  brothers, Lloyd and Herman; and sister, Ethel Haines.  Survived by
  former wife, Mary Ann McDonald of Coral Springs, Fla.; and children:
  Janet, wife of Garland Ramsey, Castlewood, Va.; Cavalle Jr., married
  to Beverly Dooley, and Kathy, wife of Tom Blomberg, both of West Palm
  Beach, Fla.; Debra, Coral Springs, Fla.; and Michael, married to
  Dannette Monaco, Margate, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two
  stepsons: Oscar and Theodore Holmes, both of Adelphi.  Brother of
  Robert E., Friedens RD 2.  Retired from the Metro D.C. Police
  Department, World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and also served in
  the U.S. Marine Corps.  Friends received from 1 p.m. Saturday until
  time of service at 2 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell,
  Rev. Samuel E. Charlton officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads
  Cemetery.
