McDonald, 58, Camp Springs, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1988, at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base. He was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Quincy, Mass. He was a supervisory training specialist with the Naval Sea Systems Command at Washington Navy Yard for 13 years. He retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant after serving 23 years; was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post 214 Grantsville, Md.; and the First Baptist Church of Camp Springs, among many other organizations. Surviving are his widow, Donna E. (Yommer) McDonald, formerly of Grantsville, Md.; one daughter, Cheryl A. Badey Simms, Arlington, Va.; one brother, Morton McDonald, of New Jersey; and one sister, Ruth Hamilton, of Florida. Services were held at the Lee Funeral Home, Clinton with interment with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. The Republic, November 24, 1988 [M0794]
