  McELHENNY
  
    Ruth McElhenny, 86, of Seiman Lakeview Manor, formerly of
  Hooversville and Somerset died April 13, 1989 at Somerset Hospital. 
  Born July 19, 1902 in Shade Township, daughter of Sylvester and
  Quinnie (Rogers) Powell.  Preceded in death by parents; husband,
  Milton; brother, Rush; sisters, Millie Koontz and Blanche Powell. 
  She was a sister of Molly Putnam, Hooversville; Rogers Powell and
  Gussie Bennett, both of Mountain Home, Idaho; Frieda Willet,
  Williamsport, Md.; and Winifred Moorhead, Yuma, Ariz.; also survived
  by numerous nieces and nephews.  She was a former school teacher in
  Shade Township and was a member of Hooversville United Methodist
  Church.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m.
  Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be
  held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Revs. Ed and Brenda Fritz officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
