  McELWAIN
  
    Juniata McElwain, 96, of Markleysburg formerly of Ursina and
  McKeesport, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 1990 in the Uniontown
  Hospital.  Born Oct. 6, 1893 in Indiana County.  Daughter of the late
  William and Anna (Thomas) Crabtree.  Also preceded in death by three
  husbands:  Charles E. Springer; Henry Metzler; and Hays McElwain; and
  two brothers, Charles and Frank Springer.  Survived by her daughter
  and son-in-law, Richard and Mabel Porter of Rockwood; a daughter,
  Dorothy Malone of McKeesport; two grandchildren, seven
  great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.  There will
  be no public visitation.  Private funeral services will be held
  Tuesday (today) with the Rev. Walter Hickle officiating. Burial at
  the Jersey Cemetery in Confluence, Pa.  Funeral arrangements ware
  under the direction of the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home,
  Markleysburg.
